O onipresente iPhone 3G, da Apple, está nas lojas há pouco mais de uma semana e já mostra a força da revolução no acesso a internet via celular a qualquer hora e lugar.
É preciso reconhecer que o iPhone 3G é um celular peculiar. Ele executa com facilidade as tarefas mais complexas de um smartphone, mas deixa a desejar nas mais simples, já presentes em celulares mais antigos. Sua tela principal é cheia de ícones que ao serem tocados, abrem os softwares. Uma barra inferior mostra as principais funções do aparelho: telefone, e-mail, web, etc. na parte superior, apresenta-se a hora, status da bateria, sinal da operadora além de mostrar o status da rede de dados (3G, EDGE ou inexistente). Todos os aplicativos instalados pelo usuário ficam em uma lista central. A digital deve ser feita pelo teclado virtual, que é um pouco complicado. O dicionário de correção nem sempre acerta nas dicas.
A versão do navegador web Safári mostra o potencial da interface. Os sites são carregados corretamente, com exceção das apresentações em flash. O uso da internet é muito rápido, com paginas podendo ser carregadas em até 10 segundos. O iPhone 3G também tem suporta a Wi-Fi. O e-mail traz configurações automáticas para os principais provedores do mercado e exibe anexos em PDF, DOC, XLS e imagens.
Os softwares do iPhone 3G são eficientes também. Cliente nativo do site de vídeos Youtube, calculadora, aplicativo com previsão do tempo para várias cidades, calendário e mapas com do Google. O GPS apresenta rapidamente e com fidelidade a localização do usuário, aproximando-a em segundos e com margem de erro de apenas alguns metros.
A porção iPod do aparelho funciona bem, embora os usuários acostumados com os tocadores da Apple possam estranhar a falta de controladores físicos na execução das músicas. A interface traz atalhos customizados para discos, artistas e músicas. Na horizontal, o aparelho mostra as capas dos discos.
O iPhone 3G é único no mercado. E se prepare para levar o carregador com você, pois usando GPS, músicas, 3G, Wi-Fi, com muita sorte, sua bateria pode durar um dia inteiro sem precisar recarregar.
